Spider Plant - Chlorophytum comosum
The spider plant, aka the airplane plant, is considered one of the most adaptable of houseplants and the easiest to grow. And, spider plant is remarkably good at filtering indoor air. This plant can grow in a wide range of conditions and suffers from few problems, other than brown tips. The spider plant is so named because of its spider-like plants, or spiderettes, which dangle down from the mother plant like spiders on a web. Don’t forget to share a spiderette with your friends, so they too can have a spider plant. All they have to do is place it on top of moist potting soil where it will quickly take root and it will grow into it’s very own plant! Another option is to tuck the spiderette into the soil around the mother spider plant and create a container full of spider plants.
