Shipping & Handling
Customer hereby agrees to and acknowledges the following terms:
Rooted Plant World guarantees that all orders are carefully picked, packaged and containerized in a manner that optimizes the safe delivery of the plant products to your location. Our orders are shipped via Canada Post Expedited, UPS, FedEx, CanPar or Purolator Ground. Packages lost in transit or stolen from their destination are not the responsibility of Rooted Plant World and is the sole responsibility of the purchaser. If theft is possible at your location please let us know and we will request "signature required" to the carrier.
In case of Damage during Shipping:
If your product arrives damaged, please contact customer service at Rooted Plant World via email at email@example.com or through the website contact us form within 24 hours of receipt and a claim will be initiated with the carrier. You will need to retain the package(s) for a minimum of 7 days, as the parcel company may want to inspect the damaged product. We will reship the damaged replacement product after the delivering carrier (Canada Post, UPS, FedEx, CanPar or Purolator) has approved the damage claim. If we are currently out of stock of that item, we will gladly offer a substitute, or you may wait until the next crop becomes available.
Condition of Sale:
After you submit your order and the checkout process is completed, your order is taken from inventory and your credit card is charged immediately. Customer agrees that their order will be delivered without requiring a signature unless signature request is specified at checkout, by adding a note, or sending us a message or email. Our carrier will leave the package(s) unsupervised unless other arrangements are made with us by the customer.
All of our orders are shipped via Canada Post, UPS, FedEx, CanPar or Purolator Ground. Depending on your location, your parcel will reach you within 2 to 7 business days in most parts of the country.
We strive to ship your order on in stock items within 2 to 3 business days, however on some orders of live items received on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday or late in the weekends we may opt to delay shipment of your items until the following week to minimize the amount of time your products will be in a box and/or warehouse, especially in the cold months. The health and well-being of your plants are our first and foremost concern. You will be notified by us via email if we opt to delay shipment of your order due to weather conditions or potential delays in transit. Occasionally in the spring months your order can take up to 7 to 10 days to ship due to the high volume of orders we receive.
If you would like to opt to have your shipment delayed please send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
Winter Shipping of Plants:
During the winter months from November 1st through April 1st - we do not guarantee the safe arrival of live plants. We complimentary add 96 hour heat packs to live plant shipments, but suggest that if your plants cannot arrive to you in 1-2 days via courier from London, Ontario, that you wait until the weather is warmer (above zero degrees celsius) through the night when they are travelling in the courier trucks. It is solely at your discretion if you choose to have live plants delivered to you otherwise. The shipping of plant stands, faux plants, planters, etc does not apply to the winter shipping terms.
All purchases completed on www.rootedplantworld.com are done so in accordance with the shipping contract.
